My current set up is the result of a journey through many different iterations. It was christened the N.E.W.K., or the “New World Electro Kit” by some of my students a few years back. It consists of a plethora of acoustic drums, cymbals and percussive instruments, and weaves into this a constantly evolving electronic component, which is triggered through touch sensitive sensors and control surfaces. The system is quite compact and is ready to connect to outside audio reinforcement systems via a simple stereo direct box and a handful of well placed microphones.
