Band Match - Play in an Band

Congratulations! All the hard work that you have devoted to learning your instrument has finally paid off and now you are finally in solid control of your technique.  The logical next step is to find a band to perform with but how does it work? How do you learn to play together? In the past, musicians would get together to practice with NO IDEA on just how to proceed. This situation is the number one reason for the failure of most of these attempts and for the painful musical frustrations that result.

Here at the KoSA Academy we have created a program that deals specifically with these issues. Based around technical exercises for the ENTIRE group you will learn to perform as a single unit with visible quick results. You will study compositions of your choice under the instruction of the very best ensemble musicians Montreal has to offer.

Open to groups that are already formed and/or to individuals who wish to find musicians to perform with, the program runs 10 weeks at 90 minutes a session culminating with a public performance at the end the term of study.

Saturday, January 16 to March 20, 10:00 – 11:30 AM
10 weeks

What our students have to say

"I can say without a doubt that my 3 years studying at the Kosa academy and Kosa International Percussion Workshop with Aldo Mazza and John Diraimo gave me the tools I needed to be prepared for Musician's Institute in Los Angeles. My reading, my technique, my different grooves, my song form, my classic drum method ( book) and the last but not the least, the passion, the désire and the hapiness you have taught as you shared your knowledge. Long life to Kosa and thank you again Aldo"

Daniel Vézina
Los Angeles

"During my time studying at Kosa Academy with Aldo Mazza and all of the teachers that I had the opportunity to work with greatly improved my understanding of, and ability on the drum set. But more than that, it increased my overall appreciation of music as a whole and taught me about the way that drums contribute to music. Aldo's passion and dedication are evident in all aspects of the school. The resources that are easily available, the facilities, the breadth of genres that each student is exposed to and the various intensive workshops all contribute to an enriching and enjoyable experience. I am grateful to him for providing such an excellent environment to learn about music, and in particular drumming."
